We are delighted to bring you the latest updates from the Managing Committee for the period 1st January to 31st March, 2026

1. Podium Garden and Green Waste Composting Prize

Ashok Gardens was awarded First Prize in the Annual MCGM Competition under the categories of Podium Garden and Green Waste Composting.

This recognition reflected the consistent efforts, dedication, and teamwork that went into maintaining our green spaces and ensuring a clean, sustainable environment. Our gardening and maintenance staff played a significant role in achieving this milestone.

Notably, our continued commitment to waste segregation and composting helped us secure this recognition for the fourth consecutive year.

This achievement remained a matter of pride for the entire community, reinforcing our vision of being a clean, green, and responsible society.

2. Property tax rebate for Ashok Gardens

We are elated to share with you that Ashok Gardens is the First Society in F-South Ward to receive from BMC a Rebate on Property Tax applicable on common areas.

This is on account of their favourable assessment of our STP plant and our Waste Treatment and Segregation processes in place.

The process involved filing a detailed application to the BMC, submitting various documents, arranging multiple visits of the BMC Solid Waste Management team including senior officials, and visits of certain NGOs associated with them, to inspect our STP plant and our Waste Management areas.

After their in-person visits, due diligence and approvals, we have finally received the Property tax rebate on the common areas.

Please note that this rebate is applicable on common areas of AG for the SOCIETY PROPERTY TAX amount and NOT on your individual flats.

Ashok Gardens is the very first society in our F-South Ward, and only amongst a handful of societies across Mumbai to receive this rebate, for which all of us in AG ought to feel justly proud!

This brings not only an annual monetary benefit on account of property tax, but also positions AG as a model society and an ecologically responsible community.
