We are delighted to bring you the latest updates from the Managing Committee for the period April to June 2026:

1. Special General Body Meeting

A Special General Body Meeting was convened on 10th May 2026 to update members on several important society matters. Key discussions covered the status and improvement plan for the lifts, the proposed appointment of a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for major repair and infrastructure projects and the findings and recommendations arising from the reception lobby renovation review.

The meeting provided members with greater transparency and an opportunity to deliberate on the way forward for these important initiatives.

An important decision was for the approval of inviting the Tenders for appointment of PMC for the planned Infrastructure projects.

2. Launch of Amave Spa & Saloon

Ashok Gardens has added another premium lifestyle amenity with the launch of Amavé Salon & Spa in the month of April.

Located on P3 of B and C Towers, the new facility offers residents a wide range of professional salon, grooming, beauty and wellness services within the society, providing added convenience and a premium experience close to home.

3. Launch of Swachh AG campaign & Mumbai Clean League:

We launched the Swachh AG Campaign – “My Society, My Responsibility” as part of its participation in the BMC Mumbai Clean League 2026. The campaign aims to inspire every resident to play an active role in keeping the society clean, hygienic, and environmentally sustainable.

With a strong focus on cleanliness, waste segregation, neighborhood upkeep, and community participation, the initiative reflects our collective commitment to making Ashok Gardens a model residential community. Together, every small effort brings us one step closer to creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier place to live. Areas to focus on includes:

  1. Housekeeping & operational excellence

2. Overall cleanliness of common areas

3. Toilet & washroom hygiene

4. Waste segregation & management

5. Drinking water facilities

6. Resident participation & behavioural practices

7. Neighbourhood cleanliness initiatives


4. Recognition by BMC F ward commissioner:

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Ashok Gardens was honoured by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (F South Ward) with a Certificate of Appreciation and recognised as an “Environment Protector Society” for its exemplary environmental initiatives.

The award acknowledged the society’s effective waste management practices, efficient operation of the Organic Waste Converter (OWC) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), and its continued commitment to sustainability.

This recognition is especially noteworthy as only three housing societies and one hotel from nearly 94 societies in the F South Ward were selected for this prestigious honour. The achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of our residents, Managing Committee, Facility Team, housekeeping staff, and all stakeholders in making Ashok Gardens a cleaner, greener and more sustainable community.

5. Ear to the Ground – open House event:

Ear to the Ground, our open-house forum event was held on 24 May 2026, providing residents with an opportunity to interact with the Management Committee, share feedback, raise concerns and discuss ideas for further enhancing community living.

Various suggestions were noted and some concerns were addressed on the spot.

6. Toddler room gets a refresh

As part of our continued efforts to enhance children’s facilities, the Toddler’s Room underwent a thoughtful refresh with upgraded interiors, toys and play materials. Residents generously contributed new and gently used toys, helping create a safer, more engaging and stimulating play environment for our youngest community members. We sincerely thank all residents whose contributions made this initiative a wonderful community effort.

7. Card room relaunch

The Card Room has been beautifully renovated and relocated to P3, D Wing, offering residents a refreshed and more comfortable recreational space. Along with the upgraded facility, the operating hours have been extended until midnight, providing greater flexibility and convenience.

8. International Yoga Day celebrations

Residents came together on 21st June to celebrate International Yoga Day with a rejuvenating morning yoga session at the Banquet Hall. Led by our in-house yoga resident Yoga experts, the event encouraged participants of all ages to embrace physical fitness, mental well-being, and mindfulness. The session reflected Ashok Gardens’ continued commitment to promoting a healthy, active, and vibrant community lifestyle

9. Kokedama Gardening Workshop & Garden walk

Young residents above age of 9 enjoyed a unique Kokedama Gardening Workshop, where they explored the beauty of nature through a guided garden walk followed by a hands-on session in creating traditional Japanese moss ball planters. Combining gardening, creativity, and mindfulness, the workshop encouraged children to connect with nature while taking home a living plant they had crafted themselves.

10. Clubhouse Updates:

  1. AG ED Talks – Women’s Health

As part of the AG ED Talks series, residents attended an insightful conversation on Women’s Health, featuring Dr. Swarna Goyal, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist at Lilavati Hospital, in discussion with our very own Ruchita Shah, Founder of the Fabulous Midlife Club. The interactive session provided valuable guidance on women’s health and wellness while giving participants an opportunity to have their questions answered by an expert.

2. AG ED Talks with Karan Dutta

The latest edition of AG ED Talks featured an engaging session by renowned speaker Karan Datta, who shared thought-provoking insights on global conflicts, geopolitics, and their impact on economies and financial markets. Through an engaging storytelling approach, the session helped residents better understand the changing global landscape and its relevance to our everyday lives.

3. Increase in slots for External Gym Trainers:

To offer greater flexibility and convenience, Ashok Gardens expanded the Personal Trainers facility in the Gym by introducing two additional time slots. The facility is now available during 6:00–7:00 am, 9:00–7:00 pm and 10:00–11:00 pm, enabling more residents to train with their preferred fitness professionals while maintaining a structured booking system. The initiative continues to operate on an experimental basis and will be reviewed based on resident feedback and operational experience

4. UEFA Finals screening:

Football fever gripped Ashok Gardens as residents came together for a live screening of the UEFA Champions League Final 2026 at the Clubhouse. Families and football enthusiasts enjoyed an exciting evening filled with cheers, team spirit, and unforgettable match moments.

5. IPL Finals screening

The Clubhouse came alive with excitement as residents gathered for a live screening of an IPL match, enjoying an electrifying evening of cricket, cheers, and camaraderie. Families and friends came together to experience the thrill of the game on the big screen.

6. Zaika Junction: June 2026

The Zaika Junction event was held in June with Atulayam
