The MC team is involved in running the Society’s day-to-day affairs and planning new initiatives & projects as and when required. Some of the key initiatives taken by the Management Committee the last quarter (July-September 2024) were:
1. AG’s 11th Annual General Body meeting
The 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ashok Gardens took place on 22nd September 2024 in the Banquet Hall, with robust participation from resident members. The Management Committee provided a comprehensive update on various initiatives and progress achieved over the last five years. Key points of discussion included:
- Projects undertaken in the past five years
- Review of the financial performance for the previous year
- Budget planning for the current year
- Cash flow projections for the coming years
- Key issues faced by the society and proposed mitigants
During the AGM, the committee sought approvals and engaged in an open dialogue with residents, ensuring a smooth and collaborative approach to society governance. Resident members actively participated, offering valuable feedback and suggestions aimed at further improving the community’s operations. This engagement reflected the strong spirit of collaboration and commitment to the betterment of Ashok Gardens.
2. Progress on Reception lobby enhancement work
Significant amount of progress was made on the Reception Lobby enhancement work including the Lift lobby areas in the last quarter. The initial work started in E/F and A/B wing lobbies and is progressing towards completion in the next 2-3 weeks time now.
Subsequently, D/E wing and B/C wing lobby work has also commenced in the last weeks of September and will be completed in the coming months.
The Lift lobby areas and meeting rooms at P2 are also being renovated alongside in a phased manner.
A planned approach on easy entry and exit areas was created from the P1 areas and alternate routes to cause minimum inconvenience to both the residents and the guests.
We are aiming to complete this transformation by the end of the next quarter, enhancing the welcome experience for both residents and guests.
3.Upgradation of Toddlers Room and Billiards Room
A small-kid appropriate themed Wallpaper was installed in the small kids’ room i.e. Toddler’s room. We also added some toys to add to their joy.
In the Billiards room, a background wallpaper around the sports of Billiards was installed on the Walls to make it look more beautiful.
4.Update on Lifts functioning
Over the last few months, we faced issues in the functioning of some of our lifts in the building. The Management Committee took immediate cognizance of the same and took up the issues with senior management of TKE. Many other measures including deployment of dedicated person, speeding up of service and conduct of a thorough audit was done. Leakage issues in Lift pits were identified, and work is scheduled to be carried out post monsoon at our end. Our lifts are more than 10 years old, and we may need to take certain measures to refurbish or replace them over a period of time. We are working towards finding the best solution.

- Completion of various phases of Reception lobbies enhancement work: The Lift lobby project will have phase wise implementation, going-live and will be moving towards closure.
- Festivals & Sports: Festival season has already commenced and will move in full swing. The Sports season will kick off at AG with onset of Autumn and Winter.
