Multiple teams across AG staff are responsible for the upkeep, services, repairs & maintenance of our building and flats. Some of the key activities undertaken by them in the last quarter were as follows:

1. Compost generation:

Compost is generated with the help of both OWC machines (for kitchen wet waste) and natural decomposition (for garden waste). We fully consume our wet waste despite falling in the bulk generator category and this is an achievement by itself. Generating 1000 kg of OWC (Organic Waste Converter) compost from 11,000 kg of wet waste every month is an achievement for us. This sustainable practice not only helps in managing waste effectively but also contributes to environmental conservation and promotes a greener lifestyle. Some of the benefits of using OWC compost in the gardens are improved Soil Health; Enhanced Plant Growth; Sustainable Waste Management; Cost Savings; Environmental Benefits; Community Engagement; Beautiful Gardens

2. Waste out of best 100 plastic bottles used in the garden:

We used waste plastic bottles to create a protective barrier for soil fencing. The idea was to use a creative and eco-friendly way to repurpose materials at Ashok Gardens. “Waste out of best” initiative! Your creative use of plastic bottles not only serves a practical purpose but also contributes to a more sustainable and visually appealing environment for all to enjoy.

3. Dry waste of 12000 kgs recycled:

We are segregating and recycling 12,000 kgs of dry waste every month. This practice demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable waste management and environmental conservation.

4. Fire & Safety trainings:

We conducted and implemented monthly fire and safety training for facility staff in the last months. The training is a crucial step in ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in the premises.

5. Rewards & Recognition Event for Staff:

The half-yearly Rewards & Recognition event was organised in January for the AG staff. Organizing a Rewards & Recognition Event for the staff at Ashok Gardens is a wonderful initiative to motivate and appreciate the hard work and dedication of the team members. These events significantly boost morale, foster a positive work environment, and encourage staff retention.

6. Staff Events and Celebrations:

The AG staff celebrated sports events in the first week of March including team events like Cricket, Throwball and some fun games. Women’s Day was also celebrated with full fervour by the female staff. It creates team building and motivation amongst staff members without compromising on any of their routine and important tasks.
