A. SPORTING ACTION
1. AGPL 2024 – Cricket
The sports events for the calendar year kicked off with the annual mega cricket event – AGPL in January, which saw 265 players participating with great zest & fervor. An opening ceremony was organized including a march past of players to kickstart the league. The game of cricket is the most followed in AG, much like in India, and had an enthusiastic response with 20 teams spanning across men, women, senior citizens and the kid’s category. Food stalls were organized too, during the league.






2. AGVT 2024 – Volleyball & Throwball
The Annual Volleyball & Throwball event – AGVT 2024 which is the 8th edition now, grew further in popularity with the participation of 90 players across 14 teams in Men’s Volleyball, Women’s Throwball, Mixed Throwball and Kids exhibition Volleyball matches. Food stalls were organised amid the lovely February weather.




3. AGBL 2024 – Badminton
The second edition of the Badminton Tournament – AGBL 2024 saw a participation of as many as 165 players and was played in the two badminton courts. There were various team formats comprising the main one i.e. 9-member teams (Men, Women, Senior kids), 5-member Kids team and 2-member senior citizens’ competition. All games were in doubles format. The 10 food stalls added to the festive environment at AG.




4. AGFPL 2024 – Football
The Football League of 2024 – AGFPL 2024 saw an exciting game of Football played by a record 172 players. There was a unique format of teams made with a combination of three age groups in the men’s category. Besides this, there were two age categories of kids and an exhibition game for women and for Under 8 kids, which were the highlights of the event.




B. FESTIVALS & CELEBRATIONS
1. Republic Day Event
The Republic Day event was celebrated with full zest and fervour on 26th January 2024 including flag hoisting and speech by the chief guest. People turned out in their festive attire to attend, and the Clubhouse and central lawns were decorated at all places with our beloved tricolor.




2. Holi celebrations
The Holi celebrations were held with full fervour starting with Holika Dahan on 24th March and followed by traditional colours and water Holi on 25th. This year besides the regular activities, we added a new format of “Phoolon kee Holi” (Holi with Flowers) for those who do not play with colours or water, which was a hit for one and all. We had the all-time time formula of Rain dance and DJ besides Brunch. All of these made our Holi a rocking success.
