We wanted to apprise you of some of the key initiatives taken by the Management Committee in the last quarter (Jan-Mar 2024):
1.Garden Award from BMC: We won the 2nd prize in the BMC Garden competition in the Podium category. It’s a great accomplishment for the Horticulture Team and a testament to their hard work in creating and maintaining such a wonderful garden space. Such recognition makes us feel proud every year.


2.New RO plant installation: We have installed a new RO Plant in the society. It will draw water from the 6 active borewells within our premises. The current capacity of the plant can convert up to 200 KLD of potable water. This plant will help convert bore-well water into potable drinking water and can be used in times of water shortage. Adding an RO (Reverse Osmosis) plant helps to sustain water deficiencies during cuts from the BMC which is a proactive step to create a water backup for residents. This move not only improves the quality of life for the residents but also showcases a commitment to their needs and the environment.

3.New badminton court surface: A new & superior surface was added to the A-Wing Badminton court to ensure better playing conditions, safety and comfort for the players.

4.Acropolis Theatre upgraded: Our very own, AG Theatre Acropolis at Clubhouse was upgraded with a new Laser projector, a larger screen, a new receiver, and a new DVD player besides adding the option of screening OTT through high-speed Wi-Fi was enabled.



5.Six new EV charging points were added: We have recently installed six additional EV (Electric Vehicle) charging points at P0 and P1 parking. We are currently evaluating with service providers to provide more options to residents for charging their EV vehicles. Additional charging points will help residents reduce the waiting time who own electric vehicles within AG.


6. A Special General Body meeting (SGM): We held an SGM in February to take up the discussion of AG’s Master plan to update on the major Infrastructure & maintenance projects that are required over the next few years along with approval of Reception Lobby enhancement requiring an approval of the General body. We also took up some other priority items which required the attention of residents.


7. Update on Electrical Audits: Conducting electric audits within individual apartments to prevent fire mishaps due to electric shock circuits is a critical and proactive step for the safety of Ashok Gardens residents. Identifying potential electrical hazards such as faulty wiring, overloaded circuits, improper earthing, or outdated electrical systems can greatly reduce the risk of fire incidents. We are trying to proactively address these issues through electric audits to ensure a safer living environment for everyone in Ashok Gardens.
We urge all the compliances and requirements related to the Electrical Audit will be soon accomplished by all residents.
8. Airtel Xstream broadband internet service: We added another high-speed and fibre-based broadband telecom and Internet option from Airtel titled Airtel Xstream. This gives residents another option of using another choice from amongst various national players in this space.

1. New Projects: We are looking forward to exciting new projects coming up in the quarter, especially the kick-off of the Lobby renovation across all six wings of Ashok Gardens. It is one of our big projects which hopes to face-lift the building in a significant manner. Amongst the other major projects, the cleaning of the external facade of the building will also be a major initiative of this quarter.
2. Sports: The first ever Basketball League – AGBBL 2024 will be held in the month of April 2024
